WordPress 4.0 Beta 4 Is Out

After releasing the 4.0 Beta 3 as a security release with the 3.9.2 version, WordPress 4.0 Beta 4 came out just two weeks before the 4.0 milestone release. This version covers over 250 changes, and some of them are below:

  • A lot of fixes to the new floating TinyMCE editor, especially with the second column of boxes. So far, I have reported over 5 bugs with TinyMCE editor (one more left to report, damn!).
  • Better handling of small screens in the media library modals. Plus, a bulk selection mode for the grid media library.
  • Improvements to the installation language selector.
  • Visual tweaks to the plugin details module and customizer panel.

That’s it for the final beta of 4.0 release. You can test WordPress 4.0 by installing the WordPress Beta Tester plugin or you can download the beta by clicking here.

If you find any bug, then don’t forget to file a ticket on the trac.
