Important Notes Before Migrating

  • Instead of deleting your Blogger after migration, it’s better to make it private just in-case if WordPress is not you. (Zero chances)
  • The most common problem in migrating from Blogger to WordPress is the WordPress’ permalinks structure. However, we have a solution for that too.
  • We are only going to import posts, categories, comments & images to your WordPress, not pages. You have to manually move your pages.

Blogger To WordPress

To import your Blogger data to your new self-hosted WordPress site, you need to navigate to Import option under the Tools menu in your WordPress’s dashboard. Click on Blogger. It will ask you to install the Blogger Importer plugin to your site. Once install it, activate and run the plugin.

It will take you to a screen which will ask you to authorize WordPress to access your Google account. After authorizing, you will see a list of your Blogger blogs. Just select that blog you wish to import and it’ll import it within a few seconds.
